Welcome, valued Guest, to the Disney Experience―an online source of everything you need to add a touch of Disney magic to your computer and your home. I am Trader Sam, your gracious host and Webmaster. As a fan of all things Disney, you're part of a unique family that holds the secrets of pixie dust, a brand of magic that only the young-at-heart can wield. Since this is your first visit, I'll introduce you to the different site features, gems, and annual traditions.

Site updates occur at random, and usually have a gem or two for you to download. Check the Site News often for any new developments. You can also sign up for the newsletter, which will not only email the site news to you, but also subscriber-only news and exclusives. Or, you can use the RSS feed or live bookmark* feature to get news. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can visit the Head Shrinker, my very own Blog. It's a little more personal (and less family-oriented), but I do express issues about the Disney Experience that would not normally be covered in the site news or newsletter. There's even a free Mara idol icon to download just for visiting!

Finding all of the new things in each site edition is a breeze. The Site News is a list of recent news and activity, but for a more comprehensive listing of downloadables, check out the Latest Releases. Simply click on a link, and off you go! Exploring the site is just as easy; all of the primary site features are available on the sidebar (left). Since you're new, you might want to use the three links above this introduction. They'll provide a breakdown of each area of the site, along with a description. As you become familiar with the site, you can jump around quickly with the site menu on the left.

The Disney Experience is occasionally enhanced with Flash media. To experience this site the way it's truly meant to be, you must have Flash Player installed on your computer. Not having Flash player will not hinder your ability to use this site or diminish the quality in any way.

The Disney Experience offers a multitude of digital media to liven up your computer. Combine icons, cursors, wallpapers, and more to create your own desktop theme; you won't find any here.

In addition to everything listed above, visit the Projects page, a collection of miscellaneous projects for the whole family. Learn to write in Atlantean (an online course taught by Milo Thatch), learn how to make Mickey Mouse pancakes, build exclusive paper models, or create the ultimate Disney computer! But the fun doesn't stop there.

The Disney Experience also hosts special events, contests, sneak previews, exclusive offers, and links―all to extend the fun! Every summer, the Disney Theme Park Attractions is a featured event―it's your chance to download new theme park-related icons and mouse cursors. If you're in a sharing and creative mood, you can have some of your own artistic creations posted on the Fan Board (restrictions apply).

October is a very special time for the site. Each Halloween, the Disney Experience becomes the Haunted Experience, complete with a spooky site makeover (usually themed to the Haunted Mansion) and annual Halloween treats. This is also the time when the Disney villains come out to play in the Villain Collection, a set of villain-themed icons.

If you have a Disney fan site, you can apply for the "Disney Magic" Award. Winners get a link placed on the Links page and an award to place on theirs. Keep an eye out for special material such as the icons and mouse cursors created exclusively for DoomBuggies.com and TellNoTales.com.

And finally, there are a few guest services that you may find useful. Read the F.A.Q. section for answers to common questions. Use Guest Request to request new icons and mouse cursors. Questions, concerns, or praise can be sent using Rapid Response, or you can me directly.
