If you haven’t been following on Google+, I’ve updated both the Flying Saucer and Demon Clock mini paper models. They have been re-drawn with cleaner, smoother graphics, and the cut/fold lines are clearly defined.
As an added bonus, I’ve re-structured all of the donation prices in the Donation Center to give you a bit more bang for your buck. I know that the economy is tough on everyone’s pocket.

You can also get the pre-cut sets by making a donation or two. Take advantage of the holiday donation minimums (valid through 12-31-2012) and order early for the holidays.

U.S. Guests
We’re happy to have HalloweenCostumes.com sponsoring this giveaway again this year. They’re giving away one Disney costume, valued at up to $60, of your choice from their website. The costume will be shipped directly to you, free of charge, and in time for Halloween. This prize is limited to U.S. residents only.
Gals, be sure to check out the beautiful, new Brave costumes. The last time I checked (a few days ago), they were sold out! Don’t worry, new stock is on the way.
If Disney isn’t your “thing,” check out the other costumes and props available for all ages . . . even pets! And be sure to check out their YouTube page for costume ideas and makeup application tutorials. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
International Guests

One international winner will receive their choice of one of 3 Nightmare Before Christmas framed film cells. The 35mm film cell comes double-matted in a 5-inch by 7-inch black ash frame, and features both a mini poster and information plaque.

Beginning October 1, we will be making a change to the monthly giveaways. Giveaway entries will be limited to a maximum of 10 per person no matter how much you donate throughout the month.
Normally, every dollar donated is a separate entry ($1 = 1 entry, $20 = 20 entries, $100 = 100 entries, and so on). The problem with this is that in theory, a person could “buy” the giveaway, which would be unfair to everyone else. Yes, there is always a chance that the “little man” could still win (winners are chosen using a random number generator), but their chances are far less.
Another change is also being made. Winner(s) of the previous giveaway will not be eligible for the current giveaway. We don’t want to make it seem like we’re playing favorites, even though winners are picked at random. And, we want other guests to have a crack at the prizes.

As Halloween time approaches, it’s time to start thinking about how to end the year. The Haunted Experience is finished. The new website layout is finished. And, updates/improvements have been made that will debut in September.
Yes, September is when it all starts, but we’re still waiting for word about next month’s possible monthly giveaway sponsorship. I should know by Monday/Tuesday at the latest. With all of this talk turned towards monthly giveaways, I started thinking about the following months.
This month’s giveaway has generated so much interest (there will be 2 winners now!) and revenue for the website, that the current plan is to have a giveaway every month for the rest of the year. If all goes well, December’s possible sponsorship promises to be a biggie for Disney theme park enthusiasts. As for the other months, you’ll just have to wait and see!

After much thought, I’ve decided to swallow my pride and finally sell advertising spots. This is a big step: I always said that I would not bog the site down with ads. But, I’ve come to realize that it’s not only necessary, but can be very advantages. With enough advertisers, I could start having regular monthly giveaways. One thing I’ve always wanted to give out are Disneyland passes.
Ad sizes, placement, and number of advertisers are limited to help keep things from getting out of hand. If you’re interested, please contact me for details.

Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoy the holiday. I know I’m looking forward to it (it’s still early for me). While we were down last week, I took some time to whip up a couple of holiday gifts for you.
As a kid, part of what made Christmas special was staying up past my bedtime (a rarity due to a strict curfew) to watch the animated holiday specials: Rudolph, Frosty, Charlie Brown, etcetera. But, my favorite was always “Mickey’s Christmas Carol.” It just wasn’t quite Christmas until I saw Mickey in that top hat and scarf. That one simple image announced the arrival of Christmas with as much pomp and circumstance of a Disneyland Christmas parade . . . at least, in my heart and mind. So, enjoy this heart-warming wallpaper.

I was wrapping presents last night when I suddenly ran out of gift tags. Out of necessity, I spent several hours designing some Disney-themed gift tags, featuring artwork from the Desktop Wallpapers. I also used my Craft ROBO to cut them out. Then, I thought that this would be a perfect Craft ROBO project for all to enjoy.
Working a little magic, I prepared the necessary files so that those of you with a Craft ROBO* and Adobe® Illustrator® can print out your own gift tags. Sadly, this project has a limited target audience due to its requirements. But, you can also get these for FREE with a donation, so all is not lost.
–UPDATE–
There is now an extra file included for cutting out the gift tags by hand. Simply print, then cut along the solid lines.
*Silhouette machines may work, too! They are manufactured by the same company (Graphtec), and are the same machines; they’ve simply been re-branded. They should also use the same software.

Back in October, the lapel pin had a special anniversary price, so I thought I’d do the same for the paper models for the holidays. Through December 31, you can grab a free mini paper model with every donation of $3.50.
If you have a child, paper-modeler, or a Disney fan in the family, these would make neat little stocking stuffers. Be sure to order early for a timely arrival!
