Work on the Nautilus mini paper model for Magical Memories Issue #3 is nearly complete. I’ve been told that it is easier to assemble than the 20-inch model, and it looks really nice. I’ll see about getting permission to post a photo on the Head Shrinker.
The best part of doing this model is the fact that I had to teach myself how to do 3-D modeling to create the display stand for the model. Now that I finally have the hang of things, I can do more complicated paper models in the future.

If you’ve been keeping up-to-date on Rock It Mountain, then you already know that the Disney execs have deemed that it is now unsuitable for the general public. Only Grad Niters will get to experience the less-than-stellar nighttime modification, and that’s only because Disney used Rock It Mountain as a marketing “weenie” for high schools and their students.
This will not have any effect on the release of the Space Mountain paper model! The model will be released on May 11, coinciding with the first Grad Nite and the semi-public premiere of Rock It Mountain.

Peter Renoudet tells about playing the Nemo voice for the Walt Disney World ride, and so much more! Plus, as always, we have some fantastic goodies for you in every issue; a miniature do it yourself paper model of the Nautilus, and a real plastic seaweed prop piece from the now closed Florida attraction, and our always awesome digital bonuses. Dive deep and “sea” the wonders of the sea with us with this fantastic new issue, surfacing this summer from Magical Memories! Special pre-ordering discounts start May 10, 2006 only at spaceage-entertainment.com/magic.”
Magical Memories is a limited edition audio fanzine (think of it like a magazine on tape), each issue focusing on a Disney theme park attraction. Each issue comes with 2 CDs, customized packaging, and extra goodies. In this issue, I’ve been asked to create the miniature Nautilus paper model which will be approximately seven inches long and may include a stand. The mini model will be a simpler version of the 20-inch model found on this site, and it can only be found exclusively with the upcoming issue of Magical Memories.
