princessfrog_thmbWhen I was last at Disneyland, I received a card good for $8 towards a child’s ticket to the Princess and the Frog. Since most child movie tickets cost less than $8, it translates into a free ticket. Everyone who purchased an in-park item ($10 minimum, I think), got one of these cards.

This thing has been sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks while I think of someone to give it to. I thought of giving it to my Sister, but I don’t think there is a participating theater nearby. Then, today, I thought “why not give it away online?” The card isn’t needed, just the code on the reverse side, and it’s been quite a while since we’ve had any sort of contest. So, why not have a mini contest?

Use of the card and movie ticket is detailed on the back of the card:

Up to $8.00 towards the purchase of one child admission with purchase of adult ticket to the Princess and the Frog at participating theaters only between 12/11/09 and 12/31/09 up until the local time of the of the participating theater’s last screening and subject to its seating capacity. If lost, cannot be replaced. No reproductions accepted. Not to be sold or traded.

How to Receive Your Movie Admission:

Step 1: Log onto www.activaterewards.com/frog

Step 2: Enter in the code in the box below

Discover Disney treasures. Shop our Affiliate Store!

Step 3: Follow online activation process, print your admission voucher and present it to a participating theater at the time of purchase of adult ticket. DO NOT present this card at the box office. Visit www.hollywoodmoviemoney.com for participating theaters in your area.

If I return to Disneyland again soon, I’ll see about getting another card to give away. I may even coax any friends/family accompanying me to fork theirs over. So that there can be more winners.

THE RULES/HOW TO ENTER

  1. Visit the Hollywood Movie Money website to make sure that your theater accepts their vouchers (many do).
  2. Simplyme with “MOVIE TICKET” in the Subject line. Emails will be filtered into a special folder automatically, so be sure to get the subject line correct (not case sensitive).

A random person will be selected on December 10, 2009, and will be emailed the code immediately.

Some of the links in the post above are “affiliate links.” This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, we will receive an affiliate commission. This is being disclosed in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

Yes, Joe is right. I’m a CM at WDW and the company sent out a press release a few weeks ago regarding the ticket. I believe it is one voucher per ticket per visit.

    • Andrew:

Disregard the per visit. I just checked the press release:

“Card quantities for this promotion are limited. Limit one card per adult ticket or annual pass. Admission voucher toward the purchase of a child’s movie ticket to The Princess and the Frog is valid for use from December 11 through December 31, 2009 at participating theaters in the fifty United States and District of Columbia.”

Actually you don’t have to purchase anything. You just present your ticket to select locations like the Emporium, Greetings, and Enginear Toys. You need to have an adult ticket or an annual pass in order to get the voucher. It’s only one voucher per pass/ticket and it’s only good for a child’s ticket.

    • Trader Sam:

Thanks. Is that one voucher . . . period? Or can I grab another the next time that I visit? I know my annual pass was scanned.

  • Trader Sam:

I’ve used Hollywood Movie Money before. It’s a certificate that acts just like real money, only you don’t get the remainder back. If the ticket costs more than the certificate, you simply pay the difference. It’s a perfectly painless procedure.
