A while ago, I petitioned Mousetalgia for one of their pens, offering a trade for a few of my Disney Experience business cards. I’m constantly hearing bout these pens that are the source of so many jokes on the podcast. After hearing about a possible “version 2.0″ Mousetalgia pen coming out, I thought I’d try to get one of the older ones.
Kristen was in charge of shipping the pen out, and I finally received the package on Thursday. It took some persistent bugging, but I finally nagged her enough that she finally mailed it out. Finally. I tease, Kristen. Thanks for the goodies!!!

My patient waiting and constant poking-with-a-stick scored me with a few other bonus items: some of Mousetalgia’s new promotional items. A magnet and matching button are nice. If I ever go to a Mousetalgia meet-up at the parks, I’ll be sure to wear my button!
I had to do a double-take on the postcard. At first, it looked like a an aerial image of San Jose. But, the Matterhorn is not that far north from me. Looking again, I saw the Haunted Mansion, Monorail, and the construction of New Orleans Square.
So, I have a new favorite pen, which I will use extensively, and a few other goodies to set on my desk. I only wish the Mousetalgia logo was more prominently featured on the magnet, button, and postcard. It’s a nice logo that needs to be be shown off more often.

Congratulations! I’m going to the PNW MouseMeet and my goal is to get penned. I’m a big fan of Mousetalgia and your work here on The Disney Experience. Your models are great. They provide hours of enjoyment while building them and provide a great conversation piece in my classroom.
