The Disney Experience had an unofficial, yet pleasantly surprising, presence at the 2010 Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet this year. Take a look at Barrie Brewer’s photos (link not available) where you can clearly see many of my (as well as Ray Keim’s) models used as table centerpieces. They were all very well built, and I’m glad so many people got to appreciate them up close.

–UPDATE–

Crystal Von Oy emailed me. She is the sole person who built all of the models for the event. Great job, Crystal; that’s some dedication!

“Bigger Boat” as in your bandwidth usage may suddenly increase with new fans and builders joining in the fun!

  • ega:

Oh I thought it was a take on “I think I need a bigger box” from the Taco Bell Commercials with the Chihuahua. LOL! Great Models Both of you… Some day I hope to acquire the patience to actually finish building one ;-)

  • Ray Keim:

Sam, thanks for telling me about this! What a wonderful compliment to our work used this way! It also shows a lot of dedication by the organizers considering our models are not exactly quick and easy to mass produce!
As for the quote above, my Universal Studios blood requires me to proudly say, it’s from JAWS! (Brody to Quint, when he first sees the shark while chumming)

    • Trader Sam:

Ah, that’s where it’s from! The closest I could come was, “I’m going to need a bigger mop,” from an episode of Married With Children.

  • Trader Sam:

“You’re going to need a bigger boat!”

Is that a quote from something? It sounds familiar.

  • Becky:

You’re going to need a bigger boat! What a great way to promote the hobby! Kudos to all involved! And to you messers Nava and Keim for getting a lot of us into the hobby in the first place!
