The Waiting Game

Well, I’m almost done with the Disney Experience site overhaul. I’m mainly waiting on a solution to a problem with the TSEP search engine. If that gets fixed, I will save myself a ton of work. If not, I’ll have 131 more pages to overhaul.

In the meantime, I’ve updated the guest quotes that will be uploaded with the improved site. As a general rule, I try to keep any comments that are made, even ones from donations. Reading all of those comments made me feel kind of embarrassed—not that I don’t enjoy receiving comments. I’d forgotten how extremely flattering some of them can be, especially ones from folks that say my models helped them get through some tough situations. I wonder if anyone else gets comments like those.

It’s August, and I’ve already been bit by the Halloween bug. I’m gathering materials and creating props for decorating the porch walkway. I’m quite proud of the reactions to last year’s decorations, and I wasn’t even trying to be terrifying. In fact, I didn’t put much up that year. But, I digress. This year, I’m working on a wall illusion that will hide me in plain sight thanks to some well-placed props and lighting tricks. If it works, that is.

And one more quick thing: Uhu02’s Black Pearl paper model is back up, despite what my links say.
