BoxZet Papertoy is a simple website where you can download and build simple papercrafts. It’s so simple, in fact, that all of the papercrafts have the same template. So, they all build the same, but they all have very different artwork.

You can also download a blank template for Illustrator or Photoshop to design your own themed BoxZet. And, if you like, you can submit your work for inclusion on the BoxZet website for everyone to download and build. Cool!

As usual none of these will download. I get the download bar and it’s doing it bar thing but then it just says try again. I did and the same thing happens. It’s just getting to the point where I will not even try to download these other site’s stuff. Not one of them in this lot will download.

You know, it seems to happen a lot when people use file-hosting companies like MediaFire. I don’t like the hoops that a person has to jump through just to download a file. Files should be stored locally on the server that hosts the website . . . or at least make them easy, one-click downloads. It used to be that hosting companies would give you a very small allotment of monthly bandwidth, but more and more companies are making it possible for larger/popular websites to host many files. That’s why the Disney Experience is hosted on HostGator, which has been awesome and inexpensive for our needs.

I do try to factor in ease of downloadability when linking to other websites. In fact, I had to turn down many Star Wars links for Star Wars Week because downloading was too difficult or shady.

I’m sorry to hear that the websites that the Disney Experience links to make things difficult, Bruce. I’ve never had any problems with them myself, and I’d hate to think that we’d lose you as a guest. You’ve been around with us for quite some time.

If anyone else has problems like this, please speak up and post comments.

I went back and tried again and got the Pizza Planet truck and the TRON car but it took many tries and lots of jumping through hoops and that’s on both sited which are different places. And the only paper models that I can actually get to are one each (TRON and Pizza Planet Truck) none of the others from either site are actually clickable for download. It’s too bad as these a simple and kind of cute.
