<\/a><\/p>\nI received a surprise box in the mail the other day. Inside were the long-awaited X-Wing bookends! Sadly, they do not look anything like the image that was displayed on the ModelSpace<\/em> website.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The bookends are solid blocks of glass, measuring 3\u2033 cubed. The X-Wings are clear stickers applied to 2 sides of each cube. The ModelSpace<\/em> website made it look like there were fully 3-dimensional X-Wings suspended inside a block of acrylic. Still, they are pretty hefty, and they function better as paper weights rather than book ends.<\/p>\n Work continues on the wing, beginning with some greeblies that go onto the front edge.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n After the greeblies, the wing is extended, and a metal support bracket is installed.<\/p>\n Moving onto the thruster engine, I work on the interior as well as add a bunch of greeblies on the outside of the casing.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\nX-Wing Bookends<\/h2>\n
