This year, I&#8217;ve re-opened and finished the project.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the features of Sleeping Beauty Castle 2.0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New brick and stone textures.<\/li>\n<li>New wood textures.<\/li>\n<li>Minor color corrections.<\/li>\n<li>Flat areas have bevels and shadows for added illusion of depth.<\/li>\n<li>Windows look like glass.<\/li>\n<li>Flags and banners have realistic fabric folds.<\/li>\n<li>Instructions file size reduced by 4MB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the process, pieces had to be moved around, and an extra parts sheet had to be created. With the extra sheet space, some new decorative banners have been created to decorate the castle (if you wish).<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the project encompasses the alcove modification, so everything matches.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In July of 2006, I began a project to update an old paper model, however the project was put on hold soon after it started.
