\"McAfee<\/a><\/p>\n

Twitter<\/em>, McAfee<\/em>, and Facebook<\/em>; it has been an interesting few days. But, we’re pushing through.<\/p>\n

Our latest victory is with McAfee<\/em>. If you have McAfee<\/em> WebAdvisor<\/a> (formerly SiteAdvisor) extension installed on your browser, you may have seen a warning screen appear when trying to visit us. Well, it appears that the Disney Experience<\/em> was incorrectly labeled as a malicious forum\/bulletin board website. Insane, right? Well, we submitted a correction, and even tried to have the website listed under “For Kids” (because we’re family-friendly), “Blogs\/Wiki” (because we have a blog, not a forum or bulletin board), and “Recreation\/Hobbies.” Okay, that last one was a little bit of a stretch, but a lot of people build paper models as a hobby.<\/p>\n

Our case was quickly reviewed and corrected within a couple of hours. We’re no longer listed as malicious, but we’re still presumed to be a forum\/bulletin board website. People having conversations in the comments of our blog posts does not translate to a forum\/bulletin board. Sigh. We’ll live with it for now; at least the warning screens are gone.<\/p>\n

\"TwitterOn the Twitter<\/em> front of the war, we cannot post anything that contains a link to our website. Twitter<\/em> thinks they are all automated. That’s partially correct. When we publish a new post, the system automatically connects and posts the link to Twitter. That’s its function. But, we also post manually.<\/p>\n

Right now, we can use a URL shortener service to bypass Twitter’s odd behavior, but you’ll get a warning screen before being taken to the post.<\/p>\n

We’ve also submitted our Twitter<\/em> account for verification<\/a>. This verification service, which used to be only for celebrities and high-profile users, is now open to the public.<\/p>\n
