Louie Mantia has a new wallpaper based on the original EPCOT city design.
Well, we survived the Mayan apocalypse, and we have a brand-new 5,000 years to look forward to. You’re all still with us, right? No one’s missing from the ranks? Good!
Let’s start off with some shiny new wallpapers of the future, courtesy of Louie Mantia.
Ah, Coca-Cola: the drink of the future. Judging by the alien text, it’s appealing to interstellar races, too.
I’ve always liked the Coca-Cola logo. The colors and design are simple, elegant, and timeless. It’s also a coincidence that I recently finished a Coca-Cola project that, if approved by the company, will be posted online later this month. Read my other blog or other Twitter feed for further news on this.
We have another Fan Board update today, featuring a downloadable wallpaper. This is the first Fan Board download in quite a while.
Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoy the holiday. I know I’m looking forward to it (it’s still early for me). While we were down last week, I took some time to whip up a couple of holiday gifts for you.
As a kid, part of what made Christmas special was staying up past my bedtime (a rarity due to a strict curfew) to watch the animated holiday specials: Rudolph, Frosty, Charlie Brown, etcetera. But, my favorite was always “Mickey’s Christmas Carol.” It just wasn’t quite Christmas until I saw Mickey in that top hat and scarf. That one simple image announced the arrival of Christmas with as much pomp and circumstance of a Disneyland Christmas parade . . . at least, in my heart and mind. So, enjoy this heart-warming wallpaper.
For me, the holiday season means trains! I set up train sets around the Christmas tree (which make my Nephews go ga-ga), Becky plasters the Fan Board with her own holiday train layout, and the Orange Empire Railway Museum has both their Santa meet/greet and Thomas the Tank Engine (I can hear the toots and whistles from where I am).
Let’s kick off the holidays by finishing up the Walt Disney World ticket series of wallpapers.
Halloween came and went, and suddenly the holidays were upon us. Where did the time go? Suddenly, it was time to shop for presents, decorate, wrap, and inventory. I always do a visual inventory of holiday decorations, wrapping papers, and etcetera.
Then came the brief respite of Thanksgiving. Ah, yes, the beloved turkey coma! There’s no experience quite like eating an extra-large communal meal in the middle of a blustery autumn day and promptly passing out for a couple of hours.
Refueled with roasted bird, and joints liberally lubricated with gravy, it’s time to shop again. There’s Black Friday, and Cyber Monday to take advantage of awesome holiday deals (Amazon’s deals are simply AWESOME!). And, we’re back to decorating, wrapping . . . you get the idea.
So, with the holiday sandwich of shopping-turkey-shopping, I’ve had quite a full plate.
