Doorless Chambers LogoI know it’s been a little slow around here lately, but I am knee-deep in client work, eBay scams, and all manners of Halloween preparations.

Speaking of Halloween, this is just a little reminder about Doorless Chambers. There is roughly 1 week left to sign up! The number of participants is a tad low this year, so let’s try to bulk up the numbers. You can see past participants in the Yearbooks section (you might find some leftover treats there!), and you can get access to some creative tools in the Workshop.

I’ve even been too busy to keep up with the year-long TDE celebration, which I’ve let fizzle out. Still, there have been some great Guest submissions on the Fan Board, and there are a few Halloween goodies coming out next month.

Robert Nava (aka Trader Sam) is the owner and operator of Doorless Chambers. This is being disclosed in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

Can’t wait. Also, it doesn’t have to be completed. As long as you convey the idea in some manner. Don’t rush.

I know what you mean, I’ve switched into Christmas mode myself. This year I’m starting off with a laminated HM game for my cousin’s son. His sister will get a castle dollhouse this year too. (hopefully Paris!) I’ll send some pics and such as I build it so everyone can see how a laminated game is built. However, since I’ll be making it up as I go along, I can’t guarantee the process will be foolproof.

The first step was to print all sheets (except fortune cards etc.) in both color and b&w which I did today. Next I’ll be comparing every part to the instructions to decide what will be laminated and what won’t.

In the end I hope to have an inkjet printed version that can survive a few stray water droplets.

I did email Jeff Baham (a.k.a. Chef Mayhem) to try to get him into this year’s Doorless Chambers again. Since he owns DoomBuggies.com, TellNoTales.com, and Mousetalgia, that would be a possible triple website participant right there. Unfortunately, he’ll be away on business for most of October, and hopes to participate in 2010.

There was also talk of possibly having me on Mousetalgia in the future after they’ve figured out a way to use Skype to have some of their guests be a part of the show.
