Here are some more paper models:

Additionally, I did some digging in a closet, and I came across my unfinished Mark VII Monorail paper model. So, I dragged it out, dusted it off, and I started to finish it.

My, there’s been a lot of paper model commotion lately.

Hey I know you have been really busy with the redesign of the site ( which looks great by the way ) but any idea on a release date of the monorail yet.

    • Trader Sam:

No release date yet. The same goes for Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty Castle). Unfortunately, work takes precedence over play (usually). I have a vacation trip coming up that needs to be financed.

Hey I don’t know if they are breaking copyrights but the Mickey Paper model is one that the Disney Company released during the Year of a Million Dreams event for an Ebay promotion. I am not sure about the Steam boat Willie, but the stage that comes with it originally had “Win your dreams with Ebay” in the large panel and came with the Mickey…

    • Trader Sam:

I know they were originally part of an Ebay/Disney promotion. I’m trying to find out more about them and if the others in the set are available (legally). The whole set (minus Steamboat Willie) can be seen in this photo. Were these free on eBay, or were they part of an auction?

      • Taylordisney:

If you find it is legal to distribute, I have the files…

      • Trader Sam:

I doubt it would be legal, and I’m sure the designer(s) have limited permission to post what they did. I’m looking into this.

  • TrainGuy:

I can’t wait to see the finished monorail, I bet original connector was good but we all know that you won’t release a model unless its perfect. I justed wanted to say thanks for all of us out there, I can only imagine the amount of work that you put into making a model.

  • Becky:

Ya know, that reminds me. What ever happened to the link to the flickr page? I have it bookmarked, but I’m just curious why it disappeared from the left column.

    • Trader Sam:

It really isn’t a part of the website, so it doesn’t merit being included in the menu. I do need to include some sort of advertisement on the model pages that links to the pictures.

I hate to be a pain, but can somebody explain to me how to Download the Narnia Lamp Post. there are two download links but the are both named the same. And when I clicked to open the file, it was some kind of desktop installation program, not a paper model file. I closed it and deleted it as I don’t run programs that are not certified by Microsoft as being safe. Since I can’t read French I have no idea what to do here. I can find no link to a paper model Narnia Lamp Post, only some desktop program that I won’t download until I find out just what it is.

    • Trader Sam:

The links are not the same (look closely). One is a 25cm model, and the other is a 35cm model that can be modified into a working desk lamp. The site is in Spanish, and you can use Google Translate to get more information about the model. Do note that the links will not work on a translated page.

The download files are in RAR format. It’s like a ZIP file; it’s a form of file compression, and it needs to be unpacked/unzipped. I use 7-Zip for all of my zipping and unpacking needs.

      • Lost Boy:

I did figure out the size fifference but I don’t get a RAR file I get an executable Program instead. Don’t know why but it is to set up a program not download a paper model file. I have tried three times, both sizes and the same thing happens. No RAR file but a set up file of some kind.

      • Lost Boy:

Nevermind. I just tried again and this time two download links appeared (this did not happend last time for some reason) and now it clearly stated that one download link is an RAR file for the paper modle and the other download is for something called 4shared desktops which has nothing to do with the model. Very confusing but at least I was able to get the paper model.

  • Lost Boy:

Ooo. Looking forward to the New Monorail model. The photo looks great and it will be a nice addition. Also waiting for the Paris Castle as that should be just amazing. Still having some problems figuring out which pieces make up the porch supports, rails and stairway rails. Without instructions it has become a real pain in the you know what. I got the basic house and porch done, but it’s just been sitting there since then as I have no idea what to do next to complete the porch and stairs.
